Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at Etrailer, and today we'll be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Baja 3 trunk mounted bike rack right here on our 2019 Nissan Sentra. So this is a trunk mounted bike rack and we're gonna talk about how you can carry around multiple bikes with this rack. Now, I personally recommend if possible try to get a hitch mounted bike rack just because you have more stability and it may work better with your sedan, since you don't have as much contact points. But, if you are limited to a class one hitch, you're limited to two bikes for that hitch. Also, if you just want a quick and easy option without getting a hitch installed, that's where a trunk mounted bike rack like this might come in handy. Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we'll be taking a look here at our Sairs Bones EX Bike Rack. This is a trunk mounted bike rack here on our 2018 Nissan Kicks. So if you want to carry around your bikes, but you don't have a roof rack, or you don't have a hitch on your Kicks, this is the next best option. So this creates three mounting points for your bikes, this also fits over your spoiler, as well as onto your hatch. You cannot open your hatch with this, but this does mean you can carry around multiple bikes. This has a weight capacity of 35 pounds per bike, so if you do have your slightly heavier bikes, this may not be the best option for you. more

This right here is our two bike version, but this also comes in a three bike version. This bike rack is a great option if you do not have a hitch or cannot install a hitch or a roof rack, because what this does is, it installs right into your trunk and you don't have to do any drilling of holes. Hollywood Racks Express Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2012 Nissan Versa- Video
Speaker 1: Today, on our 2012 Nissan Versa, we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Express 3 Bike Rack, part number HRE3. As you can see, we already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features before we take it off. Each cradle, as you can see, can pivot from side to side and can move back and forth, in order to accommodate to your specific bike frame needs and the spacing on your bikes should you have it fully loaded. The bike itself is secured from two different points of contact. You can see the these rubber straps we have that simply come off and fasten pretty easily around the notch right there, and secures your bike very well.We have a stabilization strap included for when you are carrying a full load. You simply pull it around, wrap it around all three bikes, and fasten it down, in order to keep your bikes compact for travel. more

On the end of one of our arms, we do have the patented Yakima bottle opener, which is pretty commonplace amongst most of their bike racks. Next to that is the difference here, we have an integrated cable lock, which will pull out, wrap around the outermost bike, and attach to this point here. So you can secure your bikes into place once that's secured at this point because if this is secured here, you can't pull the most inner bike out and of course neither of those can be removed.Moving onto the cradles, these are stationary, meaning they can't move back and forth or side to side. more

Thule Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2014 Nissan Maxima TH9001PRO- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Maxima we're doing a test fit of the Tulle Raceway Pro Trunk-Mounted 2 Bike Rack, part number TH9001PRO. As you can see we do already have our bike on the rack, so we're just going to show you how we strap everything down to start. We've got two cradles holding in our bike and three straps, two on the frame here and one as your anti-sway strap. To release those we're just going to pull down and lift up, saving that anti-sway strap for last. It's going to keep the bike from swinging back and forth and possibly damaging either your rack, bike, or your vehicle. Take that off and set it off to the side. A good habit to get into is to always replace your straps. Now that we've got those back in place we can take a few measurements. more

Now while it doesn't come with the wheel strap that we have here, we do recommend you use one so that your tire is not making contact with your vehicle while you drive. more

One of the nicer features about this is it does have an integrated cable lock here at the front that you'll wrap around your bike and attach it to this point here and lock it into place so your bikes will be secured to the rack. The cradles themselves are stationary, but they have these points here where you can actually see where the cables for your brakes and stuff can actually set in there so they won't be crushed down by the frame. It grips your bike at three points. more

Today on our 2017 Nissan Altima, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Archway XT 2-Bike Rack, part number TH9009XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show out some of the features. One of the nicest features about this is the fact that it does have an integrated cable lock here at the end of one of the arms. You'll pull it out, wrap it around your bikes and then attach it to this point up here and lock it so your bikes will be secured to your rack. You do notice we do have a wheel strap here around our tire. This does not come with the bike rack, although we do recommend you use this so your bike tire doesn't sit on the actual vehicle itself. Our cradles are adjustable along the arms to assist with loading and it also has this arch to the arms, which also assists with loading and to prevent bike to bike contact. more

The grails themselves are adjustable along the arms to accommodate loading and it'll grip your bike at three points. Now we do have a strap here securing our front wheel. This does not come with the bike rack although we do recommend you use this to prevent your bike tire or your handlebars from making contact with the vehicle. more

Hollywood Racks Express Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2017 Nissan Altima- Video
Today, on our 2017 Nissan Altima, we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Express Three Bike Rack, part number HRE3. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now, these are fixed arms, so these do not fold down if you we're to need that for extra clearance, but it does have adjustable cradles that move along the arms, here, to assist with loading. It also has these nice rubber straps, here, so your bike frame itself won't get scratched up once it's installed, and it grips your bike at two points with these straps at the top. Now, when all three bikes are attached, we do have this strap here, which you would wrap around all three, which will serve as a stabilization strap. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. With our bike rack in this position, I'm going to go ahead and give you a quick measurement. Measuring from the edge of the trunk, or edge of the bumper, to our outermost point, which is going to be our arms, here, we've added about 23 inches. more

Thule Archway Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2016 Nissan Altima- Video
Today on our 2016 Nissan Altima we're doing a test fit of the Thule Archway XT trunk-mount 2-bike rack. That part number is TH9009XT. Now we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we secure it into place. Then we'll go over some features and take a few measurements. Starting off with how we secure our bike in place, we have two cradles with three straps, two on our frame here and one as our anti-sway in the back. We're going to start to pull down and lift up to release those. more

Now we already have our bikes secured down but first we're going to show you how we do that. We have two cradles in place with three straps, two on our frame and one as our anti-sway strap on the back. We're going to start by releasing those and now we'll be able to pull our bike off and set it off to the side. With our bike out of the way, I always suggest that you replace your straps so you don't lose or damage them. Now we can take a few measurements. First thing, overall what we're adding to our vehicle is our arms hang out, it's going to be about 17 1/2 inches. more
